چکیده

This paper presents electromagnetic encoders useful for chipless-RFID and motion control applications. The consist in a pair of linear chains rectangular apertures implemented by means 3D printing. One these is periodic acts as clock, whereas the other chain contains an identification (ID) code. With two aperture chains, ID code can be synchronously read, so that relative velocity between tag reader irrelevant. Additionally, it shown properly designing reader, possible to determine direction. sensitive part microstrip line loaded with three complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs) etched ground plane fed harmonic signals. By encoder motion, characteristics local medium surrounding CSRRs are modified, signals amplitude modulated (AM) at output port line, thereby providing clock signal (which gives velocity), (providing also quasi-absolute position) direction motion. A fabricated prototype characterized reading dedicated reader.

A compact stacked Quasi-fractal microstrip antenna for RFID applications

In this paper, we propose a new compact quasi-fractal shaped microstrip antenna that consists of a hexagonal patch as the main radiator and a complementary stacked patch as the parasitic element. The overall surface of the proposed quasi-fractal patch is about 55% lower than the conventional hexagonal patch. Using of stacked technique, the gain reduction of compression technique is almost compe...

Mastering the Electromagnetic Signature of Chipless RFID Tags

The rapid development in wireless identification devices and subsequent applications is at the origin of intensive investigations in order to fulfill various constraints that can exist when implementing applications in practice. Chipless technologies have many advantages. They are fundamentally wireless and powerless devices, and can be all passive components, which potentially means infinite l...

Directly Printable Frequency Signatured Chipless RFID Tag for IoT Applications

This paper proposes a low-cost, compact, flexible passive chipless RFID tag that has been designed and analyzed. The tag is a bowtie-shaped resonator based structure with 36 slots; where each patch is loaded with 18 slots. The tag is set in a way that each slot in a patch corresponds to a metal gap in the other patch. Hence there is no mutual interference, and high data capacity of 36 bits is a...

Wireless chipless passive electromagnetic transducers for SHM applications

The energy autonomy of wireless sensors is crucial especially for buried or inaccessible sensors that are often the case in SHM applications. This problem can be overcome by using classical passive sensors (RFID or SAW sensors) but they suffer from a problem of low reading distances (<10m). For few years emerged a new kind of passive sensors using electromagnetic transducers, combining very hig...
